All Points of View

Description

All Points of View lives up to its name with stunning 270-degree views of Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island.

Our client relocated there from the DC area with the goal of creating a dream home to retire to, where they have hosted guests 300 of 365 days per year. It is the equivalent of a private bed and breakfast for friends and family. Boasting 7 en suite bedrooms, all with stunning views, 3 bars wired with Guinness, a sunrise tower, a sunset porch, an outdoor kitchen, and over a thousand square feet of patio space for enjoying the ever-changing views.

The original house was a very plain '70s modern. While the client does like some modern features, they wished to build a more nautical New England style.

The 2 bedrooms and play area above the 3-car carriage house connect to the kitchen through a back stair and offer a more cottage style.

The octagon tower offers a timber frame overlook on the top level, connecting to a bar and lounge area. The mid-level is the master bedroom with a built-in platform bed and dressers surrounding the room and the lower level is a walk-out bedroom suite.

The Great Room is intended to feel like a ship, with 2-story views over the water and water themed cedar timber frame, with overlooks on all sides. The main chimney has a larger lower fireplace and an upper fireplace in the lounge.
